Okayokay! I'll try not to let them notice me... kei's family i mean. They might think i'm weird...

How does it feel that "kei is there"
@Desting 😎 (Con Cat)-(おひたし、お浸し) - jump
Sorta like they're watching or having trouble letting me do my own thing!
Kei's worried that they'll ask why i'm smiling like that so i'll try not to smile! It's okay though. I know they'd think i'm dangerous, which is sad...
Is there any good way to learn switching though? Luminesce said not to use guides from before 2016 because they're outdated but all the approved guides are from before that i think
I didn't mean to not follow guides based on date, so much as.. Guides before that point (which is probably most of them, yes) are susceptible to having bad information in certain cases, namely in if they talk about the relation between possession and switching, or if they talk about the host "switching into the wonderland" in the sense of experiencing it firsthand like a lucid dream or something (which will not happen).(edited)

If you really want a bit of writing on switching, we have a few posts of ours we can link to, but you'll see even there two years ago Flan mentioned researching switching too heavily is correlated with never figuring it out for yourself.
(Oop, first link was broken, refresh if you clicked already)

Those posts from many years ago mention "practicing dissociation", but we meant the term as simply "mentally disconnecting from the body and senses and keeping your sense of presence just in your mind" - NOT medical dissociation, which is unhealthy and undesirable in general.(edited)
5minutes before that was just them untangling themselves out of any preconceptions they got from the community

I did learn to switch though so i don't think i need those guides anymore

guides before 2180 are susceptible to having bad information namely if they talk about tulpamancy

Luminesce: We used to talk about them the same back in the day, but the community seems a lot more likely to have people with actual disorders and symptoms like dissociation these days, so it doesn't feel like an okay term to use willy nilly anymore(edited)

Dissociation was never a tulpamancy term though, we just used it without considering an audience of people who might actually suffer from dissociative episodes

Luminesce: Disorderly symptoms like dissociation, memory loss, unintentional switching (esp. when stressed), and anything else that is actively detrimental to your daily life(edited)

Something isn't a disorder by definition unless it causes issues or distress
Ah yeah
I've def had unintentional switching, and dissociation
Though we can switch willingly it happens by accident sometimes
Is it possible that i had an alter previously and just gave him a name and uncovered him through tulpamancy?
Luminesce: The symptoms are the real problem with such disorders, not the headmate themselves(edited)

Unless you treat them less like a headmate and more like an aspect of you/feel like you're not whole without them or something less tulpa-like, and then integration might be the route a professional recommends
Yeah thats what i explained to my dad
It was a really long conversation today...
I just feel like my symptoms are a bit notable but not too serious so idk if i shouldve brought it up
I'm not an expert in disorderly plurality at all, though

Oh yeah... i def feel like he's a part of me
He reminds me of how i acted when i was 3 and under
I was... happy
I don't want full integration yet but we can communicate fairly well so i don't think they'll see too much of a need for improvement in that regard
But like
Often when i switch back from eishi i get all weird feeling and once i forgot who i was
We have a PR called "Full Promises", but we started it well after our tulpamancy journey was complete really, so it's more of a personal system-related blog, I guess.
Better integration is always a good thing, IMO. Integration is not fusion. Integration is better communication and relationship skills with your headmates, fusion is merging permanently into them to shrink system size.
